Environmental Sampling Supply was founded on the idea of Quality. William Levey and Matthew Macy knew
that a quality product was lacking in the sample container industry, an industry in which they had been
involved since its infancy.
They also knew that sample containers were more than "widgets," a mere commodity,
but were sensitive products that require accurate testing and
close attention to detail. Most importantly they realized that
the true quality of a product relies heavily on the integrity
of the company producing that product.
They believed it was imperative for an independent laboratory to handle all of
the Quality Control testing as a means of introducing "integrity" to the product. The company was
incorporated in the State of California in December 1987, and after formulating a business plan
and raising capital, the doors of ESS opened in November of 1988. Steadfastly believing in their
quest for quality, Bill and Matt began to see results and in less then two years ESS had become
one of the largest sample container suppliers in the United States.
Quality however is not the only ingredient needed to make a successful company, that is why ESS has
always believed in commitment to the customer, to truly become "Partners in Business." ESS is
constantly making adjustments to improve customer service and satisfaction through innovation;
from the development of the PrePreserved® Container, to the design of the state of the art ABCS
9200, a completely automated cleaning system.
This one of a kind fully automated unit has helped
to maintain ESS' stronghold in the marketplace. And now with our website, we hope to maintain an
open line of communication with our customers, with our "partners," as many changes and product
enhancements come from your suggestions. From custom cleaning and testing, to specially
designed products and sampling kits, there is no question where ESS places their customers.
